Pear Bread

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup pears, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Cream butter and beat in sugar and eggs.

Combine dry ingredients.

Add to egg mixture alternately with buttermilk.

Stir in pears and vanilla.

Pour into greased loaf pan.

Bake 350 degrees for 1 hour.
