Corn Bread

  • 1 cup yellow corn meal
  • 1 cup flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 Tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 4 Tablespoons vegetable oil

Mix cornmeal, flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Add beaten egg, milk, and oil. Mix.

Pour into greased 8X8 inch baking dish. Batter is thin. Bake at 425 degrees about 25 minutes.

Serve for breakfast with syrup.
